She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Porter and Estelle Porter. She is survived by: her son Rob Cannon (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Andrew, Joseph, Rachel and Anna Cannon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Purple Heart Homes "Take That Hill" campaign to provide housing repairs for service-disabled veterans and may be mailed to 755 Washington Ave., Statesville, NC 28677.
