He was predeceased by: his wife Betty T. Vaughan. He is survived by: his son Douglas M. Vaughan Jr.; his wife Lori H. Vaughan of Wilton; his grandchildren, Alysia E. Vindigni, Sarah D. Vaughan and Bryan D. Slaughter; and also Michael S. Vaughan (Tammy).
