It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald White of Cullowhee, North Carolina, born in Maryville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 15, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph White and Lola White. He is survived by : his sister Veleeta Murphy; his wife Kathleen Downey White; his siblings, Juan White (Mary Jo), Judy Hickman and Patricia Dailey (Eddie); his children, Theresa Hyler (George) of Asheville, Rod White (Linda) of Bryson City, Kathy Sumner of Cullowhee and Donna Garrigan (Chad) of Lake Wylie, SC.; his grandchildren, Mistie Collins (Chuck) of Whittier, Katy Spence (Jeff) of Lawrenceville, GA, Buzz Hyler of Chicago, IL, Deena Sumner (Ricky Wright) of Sylva, Dr. Callan White (Allison) of Fairview, Chad Sumner (Nathalie) of Sylva, Cody White (Cayla) of Bryson City, Heath White (Taylor) of Gastonia, Hunter White (Erica) of Jacksonville, NC and Savannah Garrigan of Lake Wylie, SC.; and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Lola Collins, Bella Spence, Lena, Declan, Jameson White, Brady Sumner, Nolan, Landon White, Scarlett White and Finley White. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the local charity of choice.
