He was predeceased by : his parents, Dillard Wood and Agatha Wood; his wife Sue Wood; and his siblings, Lazelle, Blanche, Peggy, Helen, Betty, Barbara Jo, Jack and Don.

He is survived by : his daughter Debra; his son-in-law Chuck Pressley of Easley; his son Jim; his daughter-in-law Jane Wood of Clyde; his grandson Andrew; his granddaughter-in-law Heather Pressley of Blythewood; and his sister Lois. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
