He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Fewell and Rosanna Canupp Black; and his siblings, Sam Black, Fewell Black, Ben Black, Will Black, Jess Black, Maude Crawford and Emma Robinson.

He is survived by: his wife Mollie Sue Black; his children, Kenneth Black (Roxie), Scott Watts (Marcy) and Tracy Michaels (Samuel); his brother Robert Black (Phyllis); his grandchildren, Jesse Black (Angel), Nathan Watts (Annika), Kendall Brooks (Tyler), Anthony Black, Jacob Watts and Jason Kyler Beane (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Brodie Black, Ariah Black and Josie Beane.
