He was predeceased by : his parents, Billie Edward James, Jr. and Myron Gail Hester; and his grandparents, Bill James, Sr., Atwell Hester and Pauline Hester.

He is survived by : his wife Dana Linville James; his grandmother Rachel James; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Dianne Linville; his siblings, Kelly Hall (Tony), Kristy Dinkins (Randy), Kevin James (Maryann) and Kyle James; his sister-in-law Ginger Hackworth (Neal); and his close friends, Betty Jo Choplin, David and Rebecca Marcincavage. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
