He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Warren Godwin and Harriet Birkenfeld Godwin; his children, Warren Godwin (Janet) of Trinity and Susan Fritts (Bill) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Curtis Godwin (Shannon), Shelley Kirby (Rodney), Jeremy Godwin and Erin Fritts; his great grandchildren, Luke Kirby, Rachel Kirby, Emma Godwin, Peyton Godwin, Aidan Godwin and Eva Godwin; and his brother-in-law Tommy Hedrick (Betty) of Southmont.
