He is survived by: his parent Bobby Ray Childress; his wife Jessica Ann Childress; his daughters, Savannah Fortner of Thomasville, Gabrielle Childress and Brittany Childress; his mother Jeanie Fleming Childress; his siblings, Danny Ray Childress of Lexington and Renee Wilburn (Dennis) of Lexington; and his grandchild Kaylei Hibbett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hughes Grove Baptist Church, 547 Hughes Grove Church Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.
