He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Clayton Tart, Jr. and Frances Elizabeth Britt; and his brothers, William and Warren. He is survived by: his wife Deborah M. Tart (Debbie) of Davidson, NC; his son Christopher Scott Tart of Mooresville, NC; his sister Anne Tart Lee of Raleigh, NC; his nephews, Steve Lee (Bitsy) of Union Grove, AL and Michael Lee (Alison) of Gurley, AL; and his siblings-in-law, Fidelia and Charles Reves of Troutman, NC..

Due to COVID-19, a visitation will not be held.
