She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, David Sidney Hager and Linda Walker Bean; her husband David Joseph Smith; her children, Davids Deakin Smith (Melanie) and Lauren Smith Sparks (Chad); her brothers, Geoff Hager (Norma) of Winston Salem and Derek Hager (Sonja) of Winston Salem; her grandchildren, David Ryan Sparks and Natalie Camille Sparks; her siblings-in-law, Judy Boone and Paul Boone; her nephews, Cindel, Gilia, David, Donovan and McKenna; and her close friends, Denise Dorsett Kent and Connie Walls Merritt.
