He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Foster and Magdalene Foster. He is survived by: his brother Johnny (Sue); his niece Jenna Bauer (Dan); his great-nephew Dallas of Bel Air; his sister Deborah Lawson (Brett); his niece Minka of Raleigh; his uncle Allen Chaney (Gail) of Randolph County; and his cousins, Lynne Hackaday (Randy) of Winston-Salem and Michael Davis (LuAnn) of Kernersville.
