He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Broughman and Beatrice Hamer Broughman. He is survived by: his significant other Marguerite Neer; his children, Karen Rita Broughman Soper and James Michael Broughman; his grandchildren, Rachel Marie Hart Kessler, Ryan Thomas Hart, David Broughman Soper, Kelsey Erin Soper, James Richard Broughman II, Caitlin JanaeSoper and Savannah Lynn Broughman; and his great grandchildren, McKenzie Reagan Soper, Jack Ryan Kessler, Madison Grace Soper, Cora James Kessler, Auri Aurora Broughman, Jude Jameson Broughman and James Richard Broughman III. He is also survived by three children, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
