He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Abell and James Abell; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his brother James; his children, Susan, Kimberly and John; his grandchildren, Jake and Maddie; and his former wife Nancy. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
