He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rufus Boyd and Julia Boyd; his wife Sandra Boyd; his son David (Rebecca) of Corneliu; his grandchildren, Destiny and Noah; his great grandchild River; his nieces, Barbara, Cathy and Lynn; and his sister Agnes Cassidy. He was also cherished by his son, brothers-in-law and friends.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lake Norman, the Shriner's Hospital or your local humane society.
