She was predeceased by: her husband David Lee Hopkins; and her siblings, Vivian Rhinehardt of Shirley Blackwelder and Jerald Player. She is survived by: her children, Kellie Hensley and Charles "Chuck" Hensley (Sandy); her grandchildren, Sharon Jenkins (Travis) and Christopher Hensley; her great grandchildren, Taron Jenkins and Noah Hensley; and her sister Catherine Byrd.

Memorial donations in Sandra's memory may be made to Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
