She is survived by: her son Dr. Jay Paul Schmidt (Sharon) of Boone; her grandchildren, Corey Schmidt (Mary) of Concord, Jenna Gonzalez (Eduardo) of Mooresville, Andrew Schmidt and Anna Lookman of Durham; and her great grandchildren, Oscar Schmidt, Timothy Gonzalez, Leo Schmidt, Joseph Gonzalez and Ivy Schmidt.
