He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Preston Higdon; his children, Jake Higdon (Angela) of Linwood, Casey Higdon (Amanda) of Welcome and Jean Pennington (Marcus) of Welcome; his siblings, Franklin of North Carolina and Brenda Lovelace of Welcome; and his grandchildren, Jayme, Maddison and Hailey.
