She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Charles and Gertrude A. Shaffer (Flynn); her husband John C. Swanson; her sons, Stephen and David Swanson; and her sisters, Barbara Austin and Gertrude Gilson.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Mullican (Roscoe) of Winnabow, NC, Joanne Layton (Bruce) of Gallatin, TN and Matthew Swanson (Gina) of Leland, NC.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, 4 nieces and 5 great nieces and nephews.
She was very proud of her contribution to the new church, and their donation brick.
