It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Malcolm Ray Washburn (Davis, North Carolina), who passed away on October 11, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Sr. Washburn and Bessie Washburn; his former wife Elizabeth "Beth" Washburn; his sisters, Gloria Barker and Betty Washburn; his daughter Anne Payne; and his mother-in-law Myrtle Brower Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Davis Washburn; his daughter Deborah Allison (George Jr.) of Ellicott City, Maryland; his son-in-law Barry Payne of Hughesville, Maryland; his siblings, Cindy Harmon (Jack) of Sunset Beach, Gayle Trollinger of Cascade, Virginia and Homer Curtis Washburn Jr. of Eden; his grandchildren, Audrey Batchelder (Seth) of Maryland, George Allison III (Stephanie) of Maryland, Andrew Payne of Maryland and Abigail Payne of Maryland; his pet Buddy; and his brothers-in-law, Henry and Robert Davis of Siler City. He is also survived by the cat; several nieces and nephews.
