She was predeceased by: her parents, Roby W. Trotter and Nellie Tysinger Trotter; her husband Lee McElreath; and her siblings, Ida Kearns and George Trotter.
She is survived by: her children, Pat King (Roger) of Denton, Jimmy McElreath (Pam) of Boone, NC, John McElreath (Becky) of Denton and Greg McElreath (Amanda) of Denton; her sister Grace Smith of Denton; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Jordan (Andy), Annette Manns (Steve), Kevin King, Steven King (Ashlee), Jason McElreath, Lynnea Dunlap (Sean), Austin McElreath and Evan McElreath (Katie). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
