Mattie Baucom Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2021, at the age of 99, Mattie Baucom of Denton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Gardner and Maude Warner Gardner; her husband Rev. Flave Eugene Baucom; her sons, Michael Wayne and Charles Ralph Baucom; and her siblings, Harry, Eddie, Charlie, C. B. Gardner and Ruth Hartman.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Eugene Baucom (Phyllis) of Marshville, Larry Neal Baucom (Sandra) of Asheboro, Betty Ann Surratt of Denton and Kaye Lowder of Albemarle; and her brother Robert Gardner of Goldsboro. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to Randolph Hospice, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
