With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Billie Mae Brotherton Cooke of Denver, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 21, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, James "J. B." Brotherton and Ruby Mae Hager Brotherton; and her siblings, Doris Brotherton Wilson (James) and Jimmy Brotherton. She is survived by: her husband Glenn Cooke; her daughters, Donna Cooke Flowers (Joel) and Debbie Cooke Raby (Joey); her sister Betty Ruth Brotherton Raper; her grandchildren, Samantha R. McKenzie (David), Lexie F. Phillips (Matt) and Sadie Flowers; and her great grandchildren, Madilyn McKenzie and Macallan Phillips.
