She is survived by: her husband James Jefferson Poindexter; her children, James Michael Poindexter, Melvin Poindexter (Rayleen) and Mary Angela Poindexter; her grandchildren, Aaron Poindexter (Tawnie-Rae), Mary Jo Gorski, Ryan Poindexter and Tyler Poindexter; her great grandchildren, Kyra, Michael James, Blake and Eli; and her sister Francis Baugus (Floyd). She is also survived by two sisters; four brothers.
