It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leslie Bruce of East Bend, North Carolina, who passed away on September 22, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Leslie and Ethel Carter Bruce; and his brother Troy Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Dinkins Bruce; his sisters, Dorothy B. Hutchens and Nell Pullen; his children, Debbie Allgood (Gerry Befus), Beverly Gonzales and Jeffrey Bruce (Melissa); his grandchildren, Erin Allgood, Jonathan Allgood, Maria Mack, Miguel Gonzales, Anna Gonzales, Gabriella Gonzales, Stephanie Hyatt and Hannah Minor; and his great grandchildren, Harrison, Bryce Mack and Sylas Smith.
Due to COVID, there will be a graveside service for family only at 2pm on Sunday September 26, 2021 at Baltimore United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Gerry Befus officiating. The family requests that everyone attending the service wear a mask and observe proper social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Baltimore United Methodist Church (2419 Baltimore Road, East Bend, NC 27018) or to the American Red Cross.
