It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Speas (East Bend, North Carolina), who passed away on October 12, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melvin Speas to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Speas and Alice Speas; and his wife Earlene Hennings. He is survived by: his daughters, Julia Speas Sain of Charlotte and Melissa Speas Beck (Al) of Chugiak, Ala; his grandchildren, Anna Hope Fry (Randy) of Colorado Springs and Greg Sain of Durham; his great grandchild Riley Cooper Fry; and his sisters, Lucille Long (Greek) of Tobaccoville and Faye Turner of Charlotte. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
