It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita Phillips of East Bend, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Eugene Redding and Ruby Hayes Redding; and her son Chris Phillips. She is survived by : her husband Walter Phillips; her brother Tim Redding (Martha); her daughter Ginger Tranter (Danny); and her grandsons, Cody Tranter (Leah), Dylan Tranter (Megan), David Phillips (Lacey), Ryan Phillips (Allie) and Tyler Phillips. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.
