It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Wooten (East Bend, North Carolina), who passed away on November 27, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Leo and Jewel Marie Wall Wooten; his wife Betty Lou Williams Wooten; his sister Reda Pearl Wooten; and his daughter Karla Dean Wooten Long.
He is survived by: his children, Gina Hutchens (Freddy), Randall Wooten (Colleen) and David Wooten (Karen); his son-in-law Johnny Long (Connie); his grandchildren, Jason Long (Lynn), Krista Willard (Jeremy), Garrett Hutchens (Meghan), Brittany Groce (Austin), Adam Wooten (Amanda), Lynsay Wright (Nick), Mackenzie Wooten and Chandler Wooten (Erin); his great grandchildren, Joshwa Long, Allie Long, Weston Willard, Spencer Willard, Brexli Groce, Daxtin Groce, Brooklyn Wooten and Micah Wooten; and his close friend Kathleen Rutledge.
