Arleen Purdy Wheatley Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arleen Purdy Wheatley (Eden, North Carolina), who passed away on March 22, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James C. Purdy and Edna Goard Purdy; her husband Coleman M. Wheatley; and her daughter Joan Southard. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Pruitt (late Carlton) of Elon College, Lera Harris (late Wayne) of Eden, Samuel Wheatley (Nancy) of Reidsville, Michael Wheatley of Eden and Roger Wheatley (Debbie) of Eden; and her brother Lester Purdy of Walnut Cove. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
