It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ben Franklin Lipford Sr. (Eden, North Carolina), born in Cascade, Virginia, who passed away on October 14, 2013, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Lee and Mamie Gatewood Lipford; his sisters, Elsie Lipford and Doris Lipford Wilson; his grandson Spencer Williams; and his parents-in-law, Claudine Mills and Willie Mills.

He is survived by : his wife Glenda Mills Lipford; his children, Lisa Dawn Lipford Pyrtle (Tim) of Eden, Ben F. Lipford, Jr. (Lynn) of Eden and William "Bill" Lipford (Becky) of Eden; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Katie, Tyler, Brandi, Brandon, Lauren, Jordan and Tristan; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Kayden, Bayden and Bailey; his siblings, Zoena Mae Oakes (Glen) of Chatham, VA, Sanford Lipford (Barbara) of Ruffin, Curtis "Cotton" Lipford of Mayfield, Claude Lipford (Carolyn) of Mayfield, Mack Lipford (Pat) of Greensboro and Jack Lipford (Betty Ann) of Mayfield; and his brother-in-law Johnny Wilson of Axton, VA..
