He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie George Jefferson and Myrtle Rumbley Jefferson; his wife Bernice Parks Jefferson; his mother-in-law Nannie Gibson; his siblings, Margaret J. Crawford, Frances J. Sanders and Claude Jefferson; his great grandchild Cheyenne Stump; and his nephews, Eddie Crawford and Donnie Crawford.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Strickland, Debbie Leffew, Teresa J. Hawkins (Mike), Rick Jefferson, Rocky Petty (Vicky), Sandra J. Duncan (Clayton) and Randy Jefferson; his grandchildren, April, Michelle, Nicole, Whitney, Sandra, Chris, Brittany, Josh, Caysey, Denise and Mindy; his close friends, Susan Turner, Carol Turner and Sherman Dehart; his nieces and nephews, Buddy Crawford, Doug Crawford, Tim Sanders, Brenda Clark and Lisa Howell; and his pet Charlie. He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
