She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Melvin Biggs and Shirley Biggs; her husband Tony Joe Powell; her children, Angela Powell Lemons (John), Tony Joe Powell, II (Amy) and Christopher Eugene Powell (Chasity); her grandchildren, Whitney Carter (Andy), Jonathan Lemons (Amanda), Carley Powell (Jake), Hope Powell (Josh), Bryan Powell (Ceaira) and Ashley Powell; and her great grandchildren, Caleb, Colby, Joseph, Haidyn and William.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to First Church of the Brethren, 730 Church St, Eden NC 27288.
