She was predeceased by : her parents, John Westbrook and Elizabeth Nance Westbrook; her husband Frank Swinney; and her siblings, Lloyd, Paul, Frank, Gorris Westbrook, Shirley Westbrook and Daisy Parrish.

She is survived by : her sister Lois Westbrook Eanes of Greensboro; her close friend Jimmy Voss; and her adoptive daughter Helen Overby. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
