With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie Vernita Gauldin Dickerson (Eden, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on February 6, 2020 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Buck" Gauldin and Christine Curry Gauldin; her granddaughter Amy Rose; and her siblings, Curtis, Otis, Junior Gauldin, Jackie Vernon, Doris and Vera Curry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rita Dickerson Reed of Eden and Rhonda Dickerson Isley (Tony) of Fieldale, VA; her siblings, Patsy Gauldin Sheetz of Eden, Wanda Gauldin Saunders (Bruce) of Eden, Lester Gauldin of Reidsville, Avery Gauldin of Stoneville, Milton Gauldin of Eden and Kenneth Gauldin (Vickie) of Eden; her grandchildren, Bobby, Brandy, Robbie, Ashley, Angel and Alan; and the father of her children Bobby V. Dickerson.
