He was predeceased by : his parents, George Harvey and Daisy Jarrett Hodges; and his siblings, Harry, Saunders, Clyde, Inez and Agness.

He is survived by : his children, Beverly of Raleigh, N. C. and Stephen (Kim); and his granddaughter Sheridan of Eden, N. C..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
