It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Wayne Smith of Eden, North Carolina, who passed away on June 28, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar L. Smith and Geraldine Liversay Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Smith Ryals; his siblings, Jimmy Smith and Linda Fuller; his wife Carol Chilton Smith; his children, Michelle Kent (Sanders), Jodi Bowers, Jason Smith and John Hyler (Lynn); and his siblings, Patti Patterson (Tommy), Anita Baker (Danny) and William Smith of Reidsville. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grand-children.
