He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Harrison Eggleston and Bertha Thomasson Eggleston. He is survived by: his wife Leone Gilley Eggleston; his sons, Joseph Benjamin Eggleston (Agnes) of Raleigh and James Harrison Eggleston of Eden; his grandchildren, George Michael Self (Cathy) of Stuttgart, Germany, Patrick Todd Self (Cheryl) of Raleigh, Harrison Ford Eggleston (Amanda) of Eden, Joseph Benjamin Eggleston, Jr. of Lawrence, Kansas., Suzanne Elizabeth Bymaster (Daniel) of Greensboro, Amy Leigh Miller (David) of Greensborop, Hagan Eggleston Pace (Jay) of Eden and Karen Taylor Minton (Benjie) of Greenville, NC.; and his niece Mary Johnston Gilley Schiller. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and three nephews.
