He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Joseph Myott and Margaret Maness Myott; his wife Margie Christine Hockaday of Four Oaks, N. C; his son Stephen; and his grandson Brandon.
He is survived by: his children, Samuel (Jeannie), Scott, Stuart and Shelley; his grandchildren, Dalton, Michelle, Madison and Emerson; his great grandchildren, Mason and Christopher Jacob; and his brother-in-law J. F. Hockaday.
The family requests that any memorials be made to Leaksville United Methodist Church, The Salvation Army, or Rockingham County Habitat for Humanity.
