He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Amos Coleman and Lydia Patterson Coleman; his wife Amy Dalton Coleman; and his siblings, Emmett Amos Coleman, Jr., Charles Ember Coleman and Lucy Elizabeth Ward.
He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Ellington (Gary) of Stoneville, Donna Goggin of Mason, OH, Barry Coleman of Mcleansville, NC and Jim Coleman (Risa) of Ridgeway, VA; and his siblings, Paul Wilson Coleman, Regina Ann Allen of Mayodan and Alice Eugina Glover of Denton, NC.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and one "Jake", his grand-dog.
