With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joann Spicer Gibson (Eden, North Carolina), born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on September 27, 2013 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard L. Spicer and Anna Mae Reynolds Spicer. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Tilley (Patrick Ortiz) of Greensboro, NC, Wendy Martin of Greensboro, NC, Billy Gibson (Karen) of Eden, NC and Mark Gibson (Tammy) of Eden, NC; her sisters, Rita Picha (Buddy) of Taylorsville, NC and Joyce Brizendine (Bobby) of Jamaica, VA; and her close friend Gail Martin. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
