She was predeceased by : her parents, Manuel Andrews and Caroline "Callie" Cheek Andrews; her husband James P. Simmons; her daughter Judy C. Boardwine; and her sisters, Ethel Andrews Edwards, Lenora Andrews Trent and Margaret Andrews Dixon.
She is survived by : her daughter Linda Compton Burrow of Eden; her siblings, Mildred Andrews Eggleston of Eden and Bill Andrews of Eden; her grandchildren, Dawn B. Jones (Eddie) of Eden, Val B. Pyrtle (Reece) of Stoneville, NC and Abby B. Hensley (Shane) of Eden; her great grandchildren, Caroline M. Jones, Bennett E. Jones, Logan C. Hensley and Ainsley R. Pyrtle of Eden, NC; and her son-in-law Roger Boardwine.
