She was predeceased by: her parents, John Verdle and Beulah Hudson Ball; her husband Harold Marcum; and her brother Cecil Ball. She is survived by: her daughters, Terry Eggleston (Barry) of Mebane, NC and Sherry Mattox (Jerome) of Chatham, VA; her grandchildren, Joseph Eggleston and Michelle Mattox; her great grandchildren, Nicholas and Abigail Mattox; and her siblings, Faye Light of Eden, Sylvia Ball of Eden, Gary Ball of Danville, VA and Vernon Ball of State Road, NC. She is also survived by five nieces and five nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews as well as great-great-nieces and nephews.
