He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Raven Ellis, II and Lossie Honeycutt Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Janet Rodgers Ellis; and his daughters, Summer "Katie" Ellis (Josh Shields) of Eden and Kasey Ellis of Hickory. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
