She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Blackwell and Stella Mason Blackwell; her husband Melvin "Flick" Pruitt; her brother Tyrus Blackwell; and her stepmother Ruth Blackwell.
She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Pruitt Merritt (Ted) of Eden; her niece Faye Hopkins; and her cousin Leon Combs (Ingrid).
