He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Carter and Cora Carter. He is survived by: his children, William Carter of Eden, Roy Lee Carter of Eden, Nancy Frazier of Eden and Patricia Mitchell of Eden; his daughter-in-law Margaret Corum of Eden; and his close friends, Pulliam of Axton, VA and Vernell Hubbard of Ruffin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
