He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew M. Rutledge and Lillie Barham Rutledge; his grandson Fletcher; and his sister Linda Gilley. He is survived by: his wife Norma Hall Rutledge; his daughter Angela Haynes (John) of Eden; his siblings, Frank Rutledge (Doris) of Amherst, Maxine Hudson of Eden, Jean Carter of Eden, Elaine James of Eden, Carolyn Roberson (Junior) of Eden, Dixie Edwards (Tom) of Eden and Gail Powell (Don) of Reidsville; and his close friends, Steven, Joan Strutton, Jerry Holland and Gang. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
