She was predeceased by: her parents, George Belcher and Frances Kemp Belcher; her husband John Wesley Mitchell; her sons, Billy Mitchell, Jerry Mitchell and Bobby Mitchell; and her siblings, Russell Belcher, Paul Belcher, Rita Price, Opal Griffith and Betty Grogan.
She is survived by: her sons, James Mitchell (Vivian) of Eden and Tommy Mitchell (Doris) of Eden; her siblings, Jerlyn Belcher and Elizabeth Heap of Meritt Isle, FL; her grandchildren, Nancy Lasley, Rebakah Daniels, Marie Potochak, Kimberly Mitchell, Jody Holshser, Billy Barnes, Justin Branch, Bonnie Craddock and Christine Walker; her aunts and uncles, Opal, Betty, Rita, Jerlyn, Paul and Russell; her children-in-law, Vivan and Doris; her aunt Sadie; and her niece C. C.. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
