He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Slayton and Eva McMillan Slayton. He is survived by: his siblings, George Slayton (Marion), Jesse O (Slayton), Pauline McBride and Barbara Ledford (Bob); his wife Carol Young Slayton; his sister Annette Pruett (David); his sons, William Carl Slayton, Jr. (Jeanne) and Lindsey Slayton; his grandchildren, Scott, Michael, Tyler, Ben, Olivia and Tanner; and his great grandchild Bentley.
Due to Covid-19 there will only be a graveside service at Dan View Cemetery for immediate family and invited close friends.
