She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marion and Helen King Hamilton. She is survived by: her husband Stephen Haywood Knight; her children, Sharon Louise Gronendyke (Tim) of Kenly, Kimberly Elizabeth Norris (Charlie) of Virginia Beach, VA and Dewey Ralph Knight (Susan) of Collinsville, VA; her siblings, Margaret Oliver and James F. "Freddy" Hamilton of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Evan Lee Gronendyke, David Knight Gronenedyke, Tyler Hamilton Gronendyke, Katelin Grace Gronendyke, Cody Louise Rodriguez, Joseph Hamilton Knight (Mallory), Christopher David Knight (Morgan) and Erin Nicole Knight; and her great grandchildren, Jaxson Hunter Knight, Laken JoLee Knight, Boone Sawyer Knight and Lennox Cash Knight.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Ballard's Bridge Baptist Church, 3025 Virginia Road, Tyner, NC 27980, and designated for use in the Children's Ministries.
