She was predeceased by: her parents, David Arthur and Mae Bostic Connell; her former husband Reverend George H. Cooke; and her siblings, Virginia Rash (Roger) and James Lloyd Connell (Betty).
She is survived by: her husband Leo G. Lavoie; her sons, David S. Cooke (Jan) of Bowden, GA, Douglas A. Cooke of High Point and Kevin L. Cooke (Cindy) of Edenton; and her stepson William G. "Jerry" Lavoie of Edenton.
