She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jackson Henry and Minnie Morton Henry; her husband Walter Lee Major; her sister Mary Anderton; and her grandson Justin.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Major Rakowski (Dan) of Edenton, Janice Rae Major of Edenton, Aubrey Lee Major (Barbara) of Virginia Beach, VA and Paul William Major of Virginia Beach, VA; her brother Richard Henry of Lawrenceville, VA; and her grandchildren, Ashley, Wendy, Shannon, Jason, Lindsay and Lauren. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
